Catherine Zhang

Catherine Zhang is a third year Ph.D. student in Higher Education department at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research looks at leader identity development, organizational dynamics, and how students and faculty alike build leadership competencies across contexts. She previously taught and advised students in Taiwan and Boston, ranging on topics from conflict resolution to leadership development to negotiation to embodied movement. 

Catherine found a home in Paideia during her first year of graduate school through the graduate book club and has grown to love all aspects of the work and people in the community. As a Graduate Fellow, she is excited to contribute to teaching, building community, and walking with others on their intellectual and spiritual journeys.

Catherine loves to dance, host music jam sessions, and create spaces of belonging and creativity. She earned her B.A. in Psychology and Masters in Education from Harvard University.
