Jahin Rahman is the founder of the international nonprofit Efforts in Youth Development of Bangladesh (EYDB). EYDB aims to provide educational opportunities to thousands of Bangladeshi street children through projects such as building libraries, literacy programs, and schools. Engaging over 400 young people from eight countries, Jahin has received several recognitions for EYDB, including the 2020 Power of Children Award and the NFTE WSI Award. Jahin is also passionate about youth activism and has been working with the NYC Department of Education to found the DOE’s first youth activism coalition. Playing classical Indian music is another passion that Jahin pursues as a guitar performer through BIPA. Jahin is from New York City.
