Khadijat Adeleye

Khadijat is a first year student in the College of Arts and Sciences interested in studying economics and psychology. As an aspiring entrepreneur she handles multiple small businesses including but not limited to her own braiding service as well as a print-on-demand online storefront. She is drawn to the intersection of business and consumer behavior and hopes to one day be a leading researcher in the field.

Passionate about education and accessibility, she often spends her time tutoring high school students in both Delaware and Pennsylvania as a CSSP mentor. On campus, Khadijat serves on the finance committee of Black Student League, also taking on the role of Project Lead in Black Wharton Consulting. As an engagement ambassador for Penn traditions, she loves working on events and traditions that bring together the whole campus community and alumni.

Outside of academics Khadijat is greatly involved within the arts. As a dancer, she performs as part of the West African Vibe Association (WAVE) at Penn. As a painter, she loves creating pieces that reflect aspects of her identity and culture as a Nigerian American. She also dabbles in clothing and design, often altering and manipulating the clothes she finds in her closet.

Through the Paideia Fellowship, Khadijat hopes to not only broaden her perspective, but also engage in meaningful and unique conversations with diverse perspectives. As a Paideia Fellow, she is especially excited to meet new people and help cultivate an environment whose impact goes beyond Penn. She strongly believes that our biggest differences are our greatest strengths and hopes to spark meaningful conversations that bridge borders within the program.
