Lindsey Huahuamullo is an international student from Lima, Peru, currently planning to double major in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, with a concentration in Political Economy. At the University of Pennsylvania, she is a Penn World Scholar and is actively involved in communities that support and represent international students. She serves on the International Student Advisory Board and is part of the Assembly of International Students, where she works to amplify the voices and needs of students from diverse global backgrounds and help build a stronger sense of community on campus.
Lindsey is committed to expanding access to quality education and making systems more fair for young people. She has worked on this both locally and globally through different leadership roles. She is currently serving as a Youth Advisor for the United Nations Youth Office and as a member of the Teach For All Global Advisory Board. She previously served on the United Nations Foundation Unlock the Future Coalition Advisory Board. Through these roles, she brings youth perspectives into global conversations on education and development. She is also the founder of ImpactaYA, a Peruvian youth-led initiative focused on expanding educational opportunities and supporting young people to take action in their communities.
Her interests focus on how policy, institutions, and global systems can better serve underserved communities, especially in the Global South. She is especially interested in connecting global policy discussions with real local impact and in making sure that young people are not only included in decision-making spaces but are also able to lead change themselves.
