This course will explore feminist political theories of the body, reproduction, and empire through a variety of theoretical styles and methodological approaches, including historical, textual, interpretative, ethnographic, and literary. Liberalism, Marxist feminism, poststructuralism, postcolonialism, Black feminism, and Indigenous feminism will be explored throughout the semester. The course will be taught as a seminar and will be discussion-based.
