Initiatives

Connecting theory and practice.

In addition to courses, fellowships, and events, SNF Paideia serves as the home for several co-sponsored initiatives that connect classroom learning with real-world dialogue and public problem-solving.

The Red & Blue Exchange

Promoting civil dialogue.

Funded by the Gamba family, RBX is a core initiative of the SNF Paideia Program. RBX promotes the robust expression of divergent views and provides a form for the civil discourse critical to a healthy democratic society. Through a speaker series, student forums, and the Paideia-designated course, Can We Talk, RBX pursues transformative dialogue and the discovery of common ground.

What Our Students Are Saying

I loved the fact that faculty and professors thought it so valuable to create an opportunity to facilitate open dialogue among college students about such a troubling time. But, perhaps more importantly, I loved that students took advantage of this opportunity to participate and not just talk, but be vulnerable, open, honest, and respectful.
