SNF Paideia Sponsored Events
An SNF Paideia sponsored event is one that a Paideia team member has directly led or co-led in all stages of the process (ideation, planning, facilitation) and which we are very confident is in strong alignment with our mission, values, and long- and short-term goals as a program for dialogue work at Penn, on the basis of collaborative conversations among the team. Often, the primary audience is our most immediate community (Fellows, Ambassadors, instructors, partners, students in SNF Paideia courses, etc), whether the event is exclusively for members of that community or open beyond it.
SNF Paideia Supported Events
An SNF Paideia supported event vs an SNF Paideia organized event is one led by a campus partner (student, staff, or faculty) to which Paideia has contributed funding and possibly one or more of the following: a) promotion b) advising c) logistical support. SNF Paideia extends this support on the basis of an assessment of the event as connected to our mission and reflective of our values for dialogue work at Penn to a significant degree, without requiring that the event directly serve our particular goals, express our program’s viewpoint(s), or fully adhere to our approach (nor should the event claim to do any of these things). SNF Paideia supported events engage a wide range of potential audiences at Penn and beyond.
