SNF Paideia Retreat 2022

Directions to the National Liberty Museum:

Museum Address: 321 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106

Option 1: Meet an SNF Paideia Program staff member at the corner of 34th Street and Walnut Street by the Brick House statue to take the Market Frankford Line together to the museum. Meet at 4:30pm at the latest to get to the museum on time.

We will provide a Septa Key Card with the appropriate fare that you will use for the evening and return to the program.

Option 2: Navigate on your own to the museum using public transport. There are multiple options for getting to the museum. The fastest is to take the Market Frankford Line eastbound from the University City area to the 5th street Liberty Hall station. The museum is a short walk from the station to the corner of 4th Street and Chestnut Street.

There are also bus options. The 21 bus line and the 42 bus line pick up near University City drop off right in front of the museum. The bus takes longer than the subway, so keep this in mind as you are planning.

We can arrange for you to have a Septa Key Card from the department that you will need to return. Please contact Kaitlyn (khendr@upenn.edu) at least a week in advance if you would like to check out a card from the office.

Option 3: Navigate to the museum using Uber or Lyft. We will leave this to your discretion, but you will need to cover the cost.

How to get back to campus after the event?

Option 1: You can travel back to campus with a member of the SNF Paideia staff via the Market Frankford line. You will use the same Septa Key card that you will return to the program.

Option 2: Navigate on your own back to campus using public transport. Again, you can use the same Septa Key Card that you will return to the program.

Option 3: Navigate home using Uber or Lyft. You will need to cover the cost.
