Aditi Halpe

Aditi’s interests lie at the intersection of healthcare, economics, and policy, where she hopes to explore how financial and systemic forces shape well-being beyond the biological mechanisms of disease. Medicine is deeply intertwined with access, structural forces, and economic realities. She is particularly drawn to the ways financial well-being influences health outcomes, and how decisions are made in broader healthcare systems.

Rooted in a globally enriched upbringing, Aditi has always been shaped by multiple perspectives. As a prospective Health and Societies major, education is about connection, storytelling, and understanding the lived experiences behind policies and numbers. She has been especially engaged in issues surrounding older adult care, recognizing the immense societal and economic impact of an aging population. At Penn, Aditi is involved with the Shelter Health Outreach Project and the Brain Exercise Initiative, supporting older adults through cognitive engagement and healthcare outreach. She has learned that meaningful care and connection starts with listening.

Aditi views civic engagement, service, and wellness as intertwined forces that drive community well-being. Through the SNF Paideia Fellowship, she hopes to immerse herself in dialogue that challenges assumptions and broadens her perspective beyond her major. She looks forward to exploring human-centered learning and the role of interdisciplinary collaboration in medicine, recognizing that diverse perspectives enrich healthcare solutions. By learning alongside peers from different disciplines, she hopes to develop the skills to translate meaningful conversations into action.

Beyond academics, Aditi finds joy in music, long walks with a good audiobook and soaking in the sun with friends on Locust Walk. She looks forward to engaging in the SNF Paideia community and fostering conversations that bridge disciplines, experiences, and ideas.
