Bedansh is a student in the College of Arts and Sciences with interests in International Relations, Communications, and pursuing a Spanish language certificate. He is passionate about strengthening global democracy and firmly believes in the power of communication to achieve that goal.
With aspirations of attending law school, Bedansh is actively involved on Penn’s mock trial team. He is also a tutor for the West Philadelphia Tutoring Project, and a member of the Penn Social Entrepreneurship Movement, working with social enterprises to create sustainable initiatives within local communities.
Through the SNF Paideia Program, Bedansh seeks to study the double-edged sword of democratic freedoms––how it can empower communities, but also chip away at the basic underpinnings of a healthy democracy. He wants to better define the line between positive, productive dialogue and dialogue that is ultimately dangerous.
