Graham Owens is a proud Bostonian interested in exploring the data, law, and ethics which underlie both the public and private spheres. In high school, he gained extensive interpersonal experience with civic engagement, primarily by working as a campaign fellow for Congressman Seth Moulton. Additionally, Graham served on the Education Committee of the Boston Mayor’s Youth Council in 2023, where he researched disparities in student support systems across city public schools.
Complementing his academic and extracurricular pursuits, Graham is a dedicated rock climber. He is a member of the US Youth National Team, and recently competed at the Youth World Championships in Seoul, South Korea. When given a break from training or studying, Graham enjoys spending time in nature, catching up with friends, and exploring Boston or Philadelphia by bike.
As a Penn student, Graham has joined several clubs and works on the editorial board of an academic journal about the Middle East, but remains open to new intellectual experiences in and out of the classroom. He hopes to study abroad, approach fluency in at least one new language, commit to an extensive research project, and eventually attend graduate school. As a SNF Paideia Fellow, he looks forward to learning from such a diverse and dynamic community for many years to come.
