Isaiah Littlejohn

Isaiah is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences. Although I have not declared a major, I plan to study in Law and Society, and possibly double minor in Medical Sociology and Music.

Growing up with a father who is a Committee Member for the 59th Ward of Philadelphia, and a mother who is a social worker, I developed an interest in public service and a desire to serve my community. Combined with my curiosity, I have found myself intrigued with others opinions on morals, laws, and politics, and not only how they shaped these, but how it informs their outlook on the world. Often times things can be very polarized, and no one takes the time to listen to each other, and I believe it makes all the difference. This is why I want a career that allows me to be an informed voice that unites rather than divides, and gets others to see the human behind the beliefs.

At Penn, I hope to participate in clubs that allow me to exercise this voice in many ways such as being a writer for the DP or KWH, or taking music lessons to write songs and reach mass audiences with my message of unity and understanding.
