Kayuga is a freshman from Waialua, Hawai’i, studying Economics at the Wharton School with intended concentrations in Health Care Management & Policy and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Factors for Business. Passionate about public policy and social impact, she is deeply intrigued by societal dichotomies and how dialogue and action can be leveraged to build a more equitable world. As a Filipino-Mexican with connections to Switzerland raised by a stay-at-home father and a military mother, the many cultures that make up who she is have always shaped how, where, and why she interacts with the world.
At Penn, finding intentional spaces for meaningful conversations can be difficult, but she looks forward to contributing to creating those spaces through the Paideia Student Advisory Board. On campus, Kayuga is involved in Onda Latina, the Asian Pacific Student Coalition, and Phi Gamma Nu Business Fraternity. She loves videography, musicals, reading, and mentoring her high school robotics team. In her free time, you can find her dancing, discovering new foods, or crying over ’90s rom-coms.
