Lotus Kaufman is a senior in the college from Los Angeles, California. Interested in the ways climate communication has contributed to the political polarization of climate change, she is majoring in Communication and minoring in Environmental Humanities, as well as submatriculating into the Masters of Environmental Studies program at Penn. On campus she is involved with the Penn Center for Science, Sustainability and the Media and the Kleinman Center.
In both her academic and professional career, Lotus hopes to develop strategies to alter the way we talk about environmental issues to better communicate them and bridge partisan divides
