Behavioral Economics and Environmental, Social, and Governance

May Zhang is in the Wharton School with a concentration in Behavioral Economics and Environmental, Social, and Governance in business.

May loves meeting new people as a Wharton Leadership Venture Fellow, where she leads intensives and expeditions for participants to go to exotic places and build their leadership and teamworking skills. She loves working with people, and creating spaces for dialogue that helps individuals reflect, and grow from each other. May is excited to continue to integrate her love for meaningful discourse in the SNF Paideia Fellow Program, as she immerses herself in the diverse and interdisciplinary SNF Paideia community.

As a Board Member on Wharton Wellness, May fosters individual and community wellness through executing initiatives that address wellness, and is excited to engage in wellness ideas through the SNF Paideia classes. May believes a healthy environment is essential to individual and communal wellness. As a founder of a nonprofit who’s accumulated over a thousand volunteering hours, May is committed to service and active community engagement. She loves restoring decaying trails in her community, and continues her commitment to the environment by serving as a PennGreen NSO Director.

May is passionate about determining how to create incentives for people and organizations to come up with solutions to mitigate and reverse the impacts of climate change. She is inspired by stories like how regenerative agriculture transformed the Loess Plateau and will continue to explore her interest as she goes to China this summer to do research on the green technology proliferation there. May is looking forward to growing as a global citizen through the SNF Paidia Fellows program by continuing to engage in service, individual and community wellness, and cross community dialogue.
