Morgan is a student in the College of Arts and Sciences, from Silver Spring, Maryland, pursuing a major in psychology. She is passionate about the intersection of psychology and social equity, particularly how mentorship, mental health accessibility, and behavioral science can drive meaningful change. She is excited to explore how these fields connect to broader areas such as crisis management, organizational psychology, and policy development.
While studying psychology at Penn, Morgan is interested in how psychological principles can be harnessed to improve community-building, leadership, and sustainable change. She is passionate about bridging the gap between research and practice, ensuring that psychological science is effectively implemented to benefit diverse populations. Through the Paideia Fellowship, she hopes to engage in interdisciplinary dialogue that fosters empathy, resilience, and a commitment to social impact, both on campus and beyond.
Outside the classroom, Morgan is deeply involved in mentorship and community engagement. As a mentor for Positioned for Success, she works with middle school students in West Philadelphia, helping to create spaces where young people feel seen and supported. She has also been involved with organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, where she participated in the Bigs in Blue program in the Bronx, fostering connections between youth and law enforcement through dialogue. Through these experiences, she has seen the power of dialogue and mentorship in fostering personal and social transformation across communities.
Morgan is eager to continue exploring the ways psychology can be applied across different fields to create positive change. She looks forward to deepening her understanding of how research, dialogue, and community engagement can work together to create more inclusive and effective systems and lasting social impact.
