Nicolas Dorazio (he/him) is a student at the Wharton School concentrating in Decision Processes and Business Analytics. A proud Philadelphia native, Nicolas brings a deep commitment to his studies and an equal passion for social impact. His academic interests reflect his desire to understand the psychological and social factors that influence everyday choices and how data can actively shape the understanding of critical issues. Most importantly, he advocates for using transparent, data-driven approaches to public issues, emphasizing the need for accessible, non-technical information that empowers people to effectively engage with their community.
As a member of the SNF Paideia Student Advisory Board, Nicolas hopes to bring his lived experience and perspective into conversations that shape the culture of dialogue at Penn. He hopes to form lasting connections with fellow students and create spaces where diverse identities and viewpoints are welcomed and celebrated. Through the board, he aims to encourage honest, respectful dialogue to help nurture a campus environment grounded in civic engagement, mutual understanding, and empathy.
Beyond Paideia, Nicolas is actively involved with Penn’s API community through involvement with the Asian Pacific Student Coalition. With APSC, he works to elevate the voices and concerns of API students while supporting cultural celebrations and programming. He is also involved with the ASPIRE mentoring program, facilitating dialogue over ongoing sociopolitical issues affecting the Asian youth diaspora in Philadelphia. Through this initiative, he connects with younger students, helping them navigate personal and academic challenges while fostering a community of shared identity. Through these initiatives and transformative projects, he hopes to empower others to listen deeply and learn from one another’s experiences, fostering a culture of understanding and respect. With his commitment to dialogue and inclusion, Nicolas strives to connect people to listen, learn, and work towards a more equitable future.
