Noah Kocher

English, Creative Writing

Noah Kocher is an English and creative writing student in the College of Arts and Sciences. He works as a content manager for The Penn Review and will be participating in Dr. Lia Howard’s Political Empathy Lab project over the summer of 2024, investigating emotional and cognitive practices for dialogue across political difference in Pennsylvania.

Noah is especially interested in the way literature can be used to encourage dialogue between complex perspectives, various identities, and contrasting philosophies. He hopes to use his experience in the SNF Paideia Program’s interdisciplinary fellows community to better understand and represent this aspect of literary art. Alongside this academic goal, Noah also hopes to improve his ability to practice compassionate and understanding dialogue in his personal relationships and as a citizen in his larger communities.
