Samuel is a student studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and Computer Science in the College of Arts and Sciences. He hopes to focus his fellowship on the creation of dialogue. He firmly believes in the role dialogue plays in combating the influence of demagoguery. Having lived in Madrid, and having experienced diverse political climates, he learned the rise of autocracy is not a phenomenon, but an ever-present force to be resisted with consistency.
Beyond his education, Samuel enjoys acting in plays here at Penn, working with groups like Penn Players. He also enjoys soccer, he plays as a midfielder for the club soccer team.
Through SNF Paideia, Samuel is excited to incite challenging debates as well as dedicate himself to service, reaching further from University City, into wider philadelphia and the world.
