Sonya Gwak is a graduate of the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania in (Ph.D. in Education, Culture, and Society and MSEd in Intercultural Communication). She is also a graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences at Penn where she majored in Design of Environment and English. She has taught a variety of courses at the University of Pennsylvania, including Multicultural Issues in Education and Asian American Studies. In her role as Director of Student Life, she is the primary liaison between Penn Engineering and University-wide student and academic support services for both undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, she oversees undergraduate student affairs in Penn Engineering.
