Leah Seppanen Anderson moderates the “Can We Talk” Workshop

Add your voice to a regional dialogue on the state of our nation. Meet students from around the region to talk about the election. Get tips on holding difficult conversations you can put to work on campus, online, and at home.

What previous student participants are saying:

This was the first time in a very long time that I had the opportunity to have a meaningful, respectful, civil discussion with people who I had never met before. It was an outlet for me and allowed me to share feelings, thoughts, and ideas that otherwise would have remained buried. I really liked the moderator facilitated discussion and guidance questions that were prepared in advance. I will definitely come back for more.

I liked hearing people’s opinions/life experiences that were different than my own. I also loved the topic itself—our political climate within the pandemic.

The event will be held on zoom. A link to the event will be provided to all registered attendees.

Sponsored by the Gamba Family Red & Blue Exchange, an initiative of the SNF Paideia Program at the University of Pennsylvania. Made possible by the Gamba Family and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
