School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, 2024

Kevin Zhou (SEAS ’24) is a rising junior from Troy, MI studying Computer Science with a concentration in AI. Kevin is interested in the ways in which technology, data, and computation can be leveraged to generate social good in various fields.

Kevin was first introduced to the PIT@Penn student organization and during his remote freshman spring semester, where he learned of PIT@Penn’s mission of increasing interest in the public interest tech sector among Penn students. Since then, Kevin has been heavily involved in the student organization in terms of event planning and club initiatives, and is working alongside the PIT@Penn board to grow the club in future semesters.

Outside the club, Kevin has interned with the City of Miami in a data science role via the Civic Innovation Corps, and has spoken on previous SNF Paideia panels on public sector work. On campus, Kevin is involved with Penn Climate Ventures, where he works within the Fellowships Committee to provide professional opportunities for students to explore the intersection of climate, tech, and entrepreneurship. He also is a part of Wharton Global Research and Consulting (GRC), and serves as the VP of Innovation at Wharton’s Marketing Undergraduate Student Establishment (MUSE).
